Jovanovski off to winning start in Indian Wells
INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's tennis player Bojana Jovanovski made a winning start at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells on Thursday evening, defeating Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands in two sets - 6:3, 6:4.
Jovanovski will next face Belinda Bencic of Switzerland who skipped the first round as 31st seed.
The prize fund of the tournament in California totals USD 5.38 million.
