Jovanovski off to winning start in Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's tennis player Bojana Jovanovski made a winning start at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells on Thursday evening, defeating Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands in two sets - 6:3, 6:4.

Jovanovski will next face Belinda Bencic of Switzerland who skipped the first round as 31st seed.

The prize fund of the tournament in California totals USD 5.38 million.

Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Records First Victory Against Federer

Bulgaria's top male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov recorded his first victory against Roger Federer on Wednesday.

This was achieved in the BNP Paribas Showdown, which was played in the Madison Square Garden in New York.
