The Superfund plans to have received binding financial offers for the concession of Kalamata airport by the end of June, so as to complete the signing of the concession contract by the end of the year, to be ratified by the Parliament.

Fraport Slovenija to get new head in October

Ljubljana – Fraport Slovenija, the company managing the Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, will get a new head next month, as the term of Zmago Skobir expires at the end of September. He will be succeeded by Babett Stapel, who is currently serving as managing director, Fraport Slovenija told the STA. Skobir will remain a procurator and adviser to the management.

Positive development

The privatization of 14 regional airports - considered a "prior action" in Greece's bailout program - to a consortium led by Germany's Fraport AG, marks a very positive development.

For decades the image of Greece has been tainted by the unacceptable state of airports at main tourism destinations. It's high time that Greece acquired entry points worthy of the attractions on offer.

Brussels clears regional airport privatization

The European Commission has approved the transfer of 14 Greek airports to a German-led consortium and says it's now up to Greece to finalize the deal, a key element of the country's bailout program.

The Commission says the 1.23-billion-euro agreement can go ahead as it did not involve state aid, was transparent and in line with market conditions.

Fraport AG could bid for Belgrade airport concession

German transportation company Fraport AG is a possible bidder for the concession of Belgrade's international airport named after Nikola Tesla.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that he spoke with Minister-President of the German state of Hesse Volker Bouffier, who is visiting Belgrade, about this possibility, Tanjug has reported.

SYRIZA government signs its first privatization concerning 14 regional airports

The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) signed contracts with Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide and its Greek partner Copelouzos Group for the 40-year concessions to operate, manage, develop and maintain 14 regional airports in Greece.
