Twitter is reported to have suspended the accounts of at least 16 political figures in Serbia, all of them either members of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party or holders of senior state posts.

The President of the International Police Organization of Montenegro, Ivan Peki, says that after the tragedy in Cetinje, it would be normal for the Director of the Police Administration, Zoran Brdjanin, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Filip Adi, to resign.

Ljubljana/Zagreb – President Borut Pahor will be the guest of honour at the traditional Sinjska Alka equestrian competition in the Croatian town of Sinj this Sunday upon invitation of his Croatian counterpart Zoran Milanović. MP of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Vladimir Orlic was elected parliament speaker in an open ballot, with 154 votes in favor and 76 opposed, out of 230 MPs present.
"154 voted in favor, 76 opposed, while there were no abstentions," MP Vladeta Jankovi announced at 9:30 p.m. as the chairman of the constitutive session of the parliament.

This comes after the European Commission last week recommended EU candidate country for the ex-Soviet republics of Ukraine and Moldova.

There is no reciprocity in this latter demand, despite repeated judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg calling on Bulgaria to recognise a Macedonian minority in Bulgaria, which successive Bulgarian governments have ignored.

The Customs Office said it seized eight containers with 4,000 boxes of tobacco owned by a US company, Lenora International, registered in the US state of Delaware.

Scholz was welcomed at the Belgrade "Nikola Tesla" airport by the President of Serbia, Aleksander Vui, who is the host of today's meeting.

A two-day summit of the regional initiative Open Balkans begins today in Ohrid, to be attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Ministers of North Macedonia and Albania Dimitar Kovacevski and Edi Rama, as well as officials from Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
