Turkey backs Azerbaijan in the heated conflict with Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh, where a cease-fire has been reached after four days of clashes, with Turkish president and prime minister expressing their vociferous support for Baku.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu has echoed President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an in displaying solidarity with Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh, pledging to stand by Baku "until doomsday."

Azerbaijan and Armenian separatist authorities in the Nagorny Karabakh region reached an agreement on April 5 to end four days of fierce fighting over the disputed territory, Azerbaijan confirmed.

Azerbaijan and ethnic Armenian separatists have continued to exchange fire in the area of the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, with the Azeri army threatening to shell its capital, Stepanakert.

Zakir Hasanov, the country's Defense Minister on Tuesday warned Azerbaijan's military would target Stepanakert unless the separatists stop with what Baku calls "aggression".

Bulgaria has expressed deep concern about "massive violations of the ceasefire" in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh and called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to renew their efforts to find a peaceful solution to the conflict.

Clashes continued in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region for a third day, during which Azerbaijan said Armenian forces killed three of its troops as it killed 30 Armenian troops after launching an attack on a command center, amid diplomatic efforts to ease the tension.
