Shipwreck in Halkidiki linked to 1821 Revolution
Archaeologists analyzing a shipwreck stumbled upon by divers in summer 2022 are connecting it to the 1821 Greek Revolution.
It was found in the sea off Fourka in Halkidiki, with two cannons and a one-and-a-half-meter-long rifle on its wooden hull, and seems to have been used during the Revolution.

Greek economy ‘improving despite successive crises’
Alternate Finance Minister Thodoros Skylakakis referred to the bright prospects of the Greek economy at an event for the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Greece 2.0, held in Kozani: "In the coming years, Greece - and Western Macedonia - is sure to experience an economic and investment boom, as long as the current policy of reforms and fiscal stability continues," he pointed out.
Bulgaria Parliament’s Declaration Adds Tension With North Macedonia
Bulgaria's parliament on Thursday adopted a declaration condemning the recent attack on a Bulgarian activist in neighbouring North Macedonia, an alleged "anti-Bulgarian campaign" in the country and warning that this could derail Skopje's EU integration.
Escalation of tensions: There is a growing concern
"Recently, we have witnessed the escalation of tensions between North Macedonia and Bulgaria with regrettable incidents and provocations," he emphasized on the occasion of the meeting in Brussels with Bujar Osmani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia."

PPC and Germany’s RWE to build five solar farms
Public Power Corporation (PPC) and Germany's RWE have taken a final investment decision to build five solar farms in northern Greece, the two companies said on Thursday.
The farms will cost €180 million and have a total capacity of about 200 megawatts (MW).
