South Korean PM Resigns over Bribery Accusations

South Korean President Park Geun-hye accepted on Monday the resignation of Prime Minister Lee Wan-koo, who had been accused of bribery.

Lee Wan-koo, who had been in office for slightly over two months, became the shortest serving prime minister of South Korea since the country became democratic in the late 1980s.

Korean Air wins $92.4 million parts deal with

South Korea's top carrier Korean Air said April 23 that it had secured a 100 billion won ($92.4 million) deal with Airbus to supply parts for the European firm's new A330neo.

From 2016, Korean Air will start producing "sharklets" - specialised winglets attached to the tip of an aircraft's wings - for the twin-engine jet under development by Airbus, a spokesman said.

Second festival of South Korean film in Serbia

BELGRADE - The Embassy of the Republic of Korea organised the festival of Korean film this year, and the audience will be able to see nine contemporary films from various genres from Thursday to April 26.

The festival officially opened in the new building of the Yugoslav Cinematheque late on Wednesday and its realisation was backed by the Korean Film Night.

Dignitaries to flock to Gallipoli anniversary

Turkey will host leaders from all corners of the world when it holds commemorations for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli April 24-25.

The heads of state for 20 nations will be in attendance, while two parliament speakers, three vice presidents, five prime ministers and around 20 ministers will also attend the ceremonies.
