Russian drone attack strikes Ukraine

Kiev said yesterday that Russian forces launched nearly three dozen Iranian-designed attack drones at Ukraine overnight, and fired guided missiles at its second largest city of Kharkiv in the east.

The aerial attack is the latest overnight barrage by Russian forces and comes after Ukraine's foreign minister said his country's priority was to gain control of Ukrainian airspace.

Bulgarian Defense Minister Tours Lockheed Martin for F-16 Block 70 Update

Embarking on a visit to the United States, Defense Minister Todor Tagarev, accompanied by Defense Chief Admiral Emil Eftimov, directed their attention to the Lockheed Martin plants in Greenville, South Carolina. Their mission: to engage with company executives, observe the aircraft production process, and monitor the advancement of the F-16 Block 70 destined for the Bulgarian Air Force.

Changes expected in police force’s leadership

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is convening a meeting of the Government Council for National Security (KYSEA) on Tuesday that is expected to bring major changes to the Greek police force's leadership.

The meeting was convened in the wake of the gangland-style assassination of a crime boss in the central Athens district of Neos Kosmos on Sunday.

Toll in deadliest Russian strike on Kiev rises to 32

A  missile strike killed 32 people in Kiev on Dec. 29, authorities said Thursday, raising the toll of the deadliest attack on the Ukrainian capital since the war began.

Russia has in recent days intensified aerial attacks against Ukraine, which says it has enough munition to withstand a few powerful assaults but would soon need more aid.
