Education Ministry: Record 1,000+ Ukrainian Students Join Bulgarian Universities
A recent meeting between Education and Science Minister Galin Tzokov and Ukrainian Ambassador to Bulgaria Olesya Ilashchuk shed light on the increasing influx of Ukrainian students into Bulgarian universities. The Education Ministry announced that this academic year has seen a record enrollment of 1,049 Ukrainian students, primarily comprising representatives of Bulgarian communities.
Ministry introduces issue of cyberbullying in curriculum
Following the decision of the Education Ministry, teachers will teach students how to deal with peer bullying and cyberbullying within the scope of "School-Based Social Responsibility Studies," taught as an elective course in secondary schools.
The new curriculum will teach students what peer bullying is, what to do if they encounter bullying and how to behave to avoid being bullied.

Mid-term break starts for 20 mln students in Türkiye
Nearly 20 million students and more than 1.2 million teachers have started the first mid-term break of the 2023-2024 academic year.
