Education Minister Remus Pricopie said Monday that the 2015 budget of the Education Ministry (MEN) is being discussed and efforts are deployed to increase public spending on education gradually.

A photograph of a controversial work by a Japanese artist showing people in a blender will be removed from a primary school physics textbook, the Education Ministry said on Friday.

At least one student was detained Friday during a tense protest rally against the government's education reforms.
