Turkey's exports increased by 24.6 percent in April from a year ago to reach $23.4 billion, data from the Trade Ministry have shown.

"This marked the all-time highest in monthly exports," Trade Minister Mehmet Muş said on Twitter, adding that the country's 12-month exports surpassed the $240 billion threshold.

Online orders have increased as the new wedding season has arrived, according to the top executive of Turkey's state-owned e-commerce platform.

"Wedding preparations fell under the shadow of the pandemic in the last two years," said PttAVM.com General Manager Hakan Çevikoğlu on April 24.

Turkey's exports rose by 19.8 percent on an annual basis to climb to $22.7 billion in March, data from the Trade Ministry have shown.

This marked an all-time high export figure for the month of March, Trade Minister Mehmet Muş said, adding that in January and February record monthly export levels were recorded. "Third time in a row, we achieved those record numbers," Muş tweeted.

The Turkish automotive sector could be affected indirectly by the Russia-Ukraine conflict because of rising costs, according to professionals.

Turkey's exports to Russia, which hit $705 million last year, is not expected to be affected so far, Baran Çelik, the head of the Automotive Exporters Association (OİB), told daily Hürriyet.

Residential property sales to foreign buyers rose by 56.5 percent year on year to 4,186 units in January, according to data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on Feb. 18.

Istanbul, Turkey's largest city by population and the commercial hub of the country, took the lion's share of sales to foreign buyers, with 1,771 units.

A project to support and improve women cooperatives in Turkey, conducted by three ministries and funded by the European Union, has started in 24 out of the country's entire 81 provinces, daily Milliyet reported.

Turkey's Green Reconciliation Working Group, which was formed under the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce, will intensify its activities in order to remove barriers to foreign trade and ensure the green transformation of companies.

Turkey aims to attract as many as 50 million foreign holidaymakers and generate $50 billion in tourism revenues in 2023, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy has said.

Turkey on Oct. 15 authorized the Services Exporters' Association (HIB) in the country to ease visa requirements for foreign visitors coming to Turkey for medical tourism.

Trade Ministry and Foreign Ministry signed an agreement, the Medical Visa Cooperation Protocol, to authorize the HIB.
