Bulgaria’s Caretaker Foreign Minister Takes Part in Informal Meeting of EU Ministers of Foreign Affairs
During a discussion on unresolved conflicts in the Eastern Partnership at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers (a.k.a. Gymnich meeting) held in Lisbon, Bulgarian caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoev said, quoted by his Ministry, that stability and security in the area of the Eastern Partnership are priorities for the Bulgarian government.
Vucic invited to Brussels
President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vui, was also invited to the meeting, informed EU sources told the Beta agency in Brussels. Yesterday, after a thorough discussion of EU foreign ministers on relations with the Western Balkans, Borrell announced the arrival of leaders from the region for dinner in Brussels and pointed out that "the Western Balkans is a great geopolitical problem."

At the moment of strained relations with Russia, some EU members, with their defending the Russian Nord Stream gas pipeline, further deepen the divisions in Europe and in the transatlantic partnership, writes the EUobserver portal, as EURACTIV reports.

He will request a meeting because of the situation in the eastern Mediterranean, Belarus and Lebanon.
"We will discuss urgent matters and resolving the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, the presidential elections in Belarus and the development of the situation in Lebanon," Borrell wrote on his Twitter.

He also states that the influence of the United States will be strengthened, while Chinese foreign policy will face the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, pointing out that the appointment of Lajcak and Borrell as special envoys for the dialogue on Kosovo is a wrong move on the part of EU.

The LDK President says Pristina must trust its allies, believe in the US and EU, as well as in itself.

They urge all political actors to reduce tensions and build a mutually constructive dialogue, because, he says, these elections are especially important for Serbia.
Borrell also says that boycotting is not a realistic option.

He said that he is looking forward to a swift resumption of the dialogue to help achieve a comprehensive normalization of relations, stressing that he is ready to engage with all political actors in Pristina.
