Turkey and Pakistan have vowed to further strengthen their bilateral ties in all fields during Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's visit to Ankara as two states celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.

French President Emmanuel Macron said today, after the agreement of the leaders of the European Union on the sixth package of sanctions against Russia, that additional sanctions should not be written off in the coming weeks, Reuters reported.

"Surely, Russia will not look at these things positively (Sweden's and Finland's accession to NATO). Russia is primarily concerned about the Finnish issue. Why? Because this is a border country and therefore does not support Finland's NATO membership.

Turkey will continue to fight against terrorists in northern Syria until they are eradicated, the nation's president said on May 29.

"We are fighting against terrorists in northern Syria and we will continue it until they will be rooted out," Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at an event at Ataturk Airport marking the 569th anniversary of the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul.

"If President Erdogan thinks that I will not defend the sovereignty and sovereign rights of Greece and that I will not tell the international public that Turkey is behaving like a revisionist power, then he is wrong," he said.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog extended his wishes to Turks on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr in a phone conversation with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the presidential office has said.

Turkey and Saudi Arabia have demonstrated common will to develop bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect and trust, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on April 30. 

Speaking to journalists on the presidential plane returning from Saudi Arabia, Erdoğan said two countries are determined to continue this effort for the common interests and stability of the region.
