5.4 magnitude quake strikes Mediterranean Sea

Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) said an earthquake took place in the Mediterranean Sea off southwestern Turkish shores on Jan. 28.

In a Twitter post, AFAD said: ""#EARTHQUAKE: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 occurred at 18.38 [1538GMT] in the Mediterranean Sea off [southwestern] Marmaris shores."

One dead, two missing after motorized yacht sinks off Turkey's Marmaris

A motor yacht sank off the coast of Marmaris in southern Turkey on Aug. 2, killing one person and leaving two others missing, the local governor has stated.

The 20-meter motor yacht named "Anemone" sank 200 meters off the Bozburun port with 11 on board due to unknown reasons.

Strong earthquake hits Aegean coast, no casualties reported in Turkey

A magnitude-6.3 earthquake hit the Aegean Sea near the Turkish coast early on July 21.
 
At least two people, one of them was Turkish citizen, were killed on the Greek island of Kos after the strong earthquake.

Several people were also injured in the Aegean province of Muğla.
