Princess Margareta and Prince Radu welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace
Princess Margareta, the elder daughter of ex-sovereign of Romania Michael I and her husband Prince Radu were welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, King Michael's Press Office announced in a release to AGERPRES on Wednesday.
The meeting at Buckingham Palace was an invitation to tea at 5 p.m., the release added.
Romanian Olympic Committee awarded Nihil Sine Deo royal distinction
The Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (COSR) on Tuesday at Elisabeta Palace was awarded the Nihil Sine Deo royal distinction on its 100th anniversary.
The distinction was handed over by Princess Margareta on behalf of His Majesty King Mihai I to COSR President Alin Petrache.
Royal House unveils December 1 events: Trip by royal train, reception for the diplomatic corps
Princess Margareta and Prince Radu, accompanied by Princess Maria and Prince Nicolae, will go on a symbolic trip by the royal train on December 1, Romania's National Day, to pay homage to the sovereigns of the Greater Romania, King Ferdinand and Queen Maria of Romania, the Royal House reports in a press release.
King Michael I celebrated at Elisabeta Palace
About 1,000 people came at the Elisabeta Palace in Bucharest on Wednesday to celebrate the anniversary and name day of King Michael I.
King Michael turned 93 years old on October 25, and he celebrated his name day on Nov. 8.
