Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci said Pristina has nothing to hide from a new war crimes court which will try former Kosovo Liberation Army fighters, but refused to speculate about possible indictees.

A petition against the recent EU-led agreement with Serbia has attracted more than 63,000 signatures during only five days, the organisers said on Wednesday.

The petition was launched on September 18 and the organisers claim the number of the people signing it is increasing every day.

Former Kosovo Liberation Army fighters said that the government’s pension offer was too low and insisted that they deserved more for serving during the war against Serbian forces.

Former Kosovo Liberation Army commander Sami Lushtaku, convicted of war crimes, was sent to a high-security prison after he allegedly tried to escape, according to media reports.

Srbica Mayor Sami Lushtaku, who has been convicted of war crimes committed against civilians in Kosovo, has been arrested after leaving a hospital.

Lushtaku is a former member of the now disbanded ethnic Albanian KLA and its "Drenica Group" and was in the hospital temporarily for treatment. He was previously sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Opposition MPs hurled eggs towards Kosovo's Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, while he was addressing parliament on the latest agreement reached between Pristina and Belgrade on August 25.

MPs from the nationalist Self-determination movement erupted during the Prime Minister's speech when he said that the recent agreement complied with Kosovo's constitution.

The constitutional court in Pristina rejected a request from three opposition parties to review the establishment of a new special court to try former Kosovo Liberation Army fighters for war crimes.

Marko Djuric said on Monday that "peace and stability must be the priority interests of all citizens in our southern province of Kosovo."
