Destination-oriented regional tourism brand promoted
Turkey introduced a promotional program on June 27 for the "Mesopotamia" brand, which was created to promote the tourism potential of the southeastern Anatolia region to the world.
Speaking at the event, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said Turkey has the richest and most unique homeland in the world with its history, culture and geographical structure.

Birth rate declining in Turkey: Report
A recent report by Turkey's statistical authority has revealed a trend of declining birth rates in the country.
Nearly 1.12 million new births were registered in 2020, down from 1.18 million the year before, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced on May 18.
According to TÜİK, 51.3 percent of babies born last year were boys, while 48.7 percent were girls.

Turkey's health minister announced early on March 16 infection rates of the novel coronavirus across Turkey's 81 provinces on March 6-12 as part of a new weekly initiative.
"Normalization can be possible by following the measures," Fahrettin Koca said on Twitter, sharing the statistics.
