Nikola Tesla power plant still in danger
OBRENOVAC - The possibility of the Sava overflowing is the greatest threat to the power station Nikola Tesla in Obrenovac, where pumps are being used to drain underground water, as the water from the Sava would then merge with the flood water from the Kolubara, Serbia's Minister of Energy Aleksandar Antic said on Monday.

BELGRADE – Serbia’s Ministry of Education seeks to include students from flood-endangered regions who are housed with their parents in reception centers in psychosocial support programs organized in them.
Army sets up pontoon bridge in Kraljevo municipality
KRALJEVO - The West Morava River and torrential rivers and streams in the Kraljevo region, central Serbia, have receded back into their beds, leaving behind more than one thousand destroyed houses, and the flooding waters have washed away or damaged 12 bridges, whose replacement with pontoon constructions is underway.
25,000 Evacuated in Serbian Floods
Serbia's Ministry of Interior says it has evacuated 25,070 people in the areas most threatened by flooding.
In the town of Obrenovac, near the capital Belgrade, 7,800 people have been evacuated, Tanjug agency reported. The town has been almost completely flooded after heavy rains poured over the past days.

Belgrade braced for swollen River Sava
BELGRADE - Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali said Monday that the Serbian capital has prepared itself well for the danger of the River Sava bursting its banks, adding that, given the hydrological forecast, the activities carried out should be sufficient to protect the city from the rising river.

Great Morava inundates regional road
SVILAJNAC - The swollen Great Morava river has flooded a regional motorway leading to Svilajnac, hampering efforts to deliver relief aid to the flood-hit town in central Serbia, Svilajnac Mayor Predrag Milanovic told Tanjug on Monday.
Parts of the road connecting Svilajnac with the motorway from Belgrade to Nis (E75) has been flooded.

Serbian Flood Relief Campaign Goes Viral
At over 20 locations in Belgrade and at others all over Serbia, the Red Cross has been collecting food, clothes and other necessities for around 25,000 people evacuated from their homes after the severe flooding of recent days.
At the same time humanitarian aid is arriving from Russia, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and other countries.

Danger of Sava flooding has not passed
BELGRADE - Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic said on Monday that the danger of the River Sava causing floods has not passed.
We have relaxed too soon, the danger will persist for another three or four days, Gasic told TV Pink.
