Skoufa Gallery is hosting a new solo show by Lina Pigadioti-Tzima. Curated by Dr Sozita Goudouna, "Palimpsest of Memory" features mixed-media works exploring the artist's views on local politics and the ephemeral conditions of contemporary life, among others.

Frida Kahlo's family struggles to manage legacy
Sixty-three years after her death, Mexican artist Frida Kahlo has achieved a level of fame she never reached in her lifetime, her image emblazoned on mugs, T-shirts, keychains and even underwear. But scholars and the painter's descendants lament she has been reduced to a set of distinctive physical features that often overshadows her actual work.

Rachel Maclean | Athens | May 24
In partnership with the State of Concept gallery, the British Council presents a screening of Rachel Maclean's film "Feed Me," which explores the commercialization of childhood. The 16th Istanbul Biennial due to take place between Sept. 14 and Nov. 10, 2019 will be curated by French curator, art scholar and writer Nicolas Bourriaud.

Travels in Greece | Athens | To April 29
The Benaki Museum of Greek Culture presents "Travels in Greece (15th-19th Century)," showcasing editions, manuscripts, maps, loose prints and drawings as well as important documents, archival material and photographs, from the collection of Efstathios Finopoulos. Admissions costs 7 euros and opening hours are Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m.
