Olympiakos is alone on top of Basket League
Olympiakos defeated AEK at home on Saturday and is now alone on top of the Basket League with eight wins in as many games.
The Reds won 78-67 to inflict AEK's first league loss this season as its spectacular run came to an end. Led by Matt Lojeski (17 points), Olympiakos advanced by up to 21 points before AEK reduced the deficit in the end.

Red Star lose to Efes in Euroleague after poor finish
ISTANBUL - Red Star Belgrade lost 100-79 (21-21, 26-19, 27-24, 26-15) to Efes Istanbul on the road in the Euroleague Basketball Round 9 late Thursday.
The Turkish team went on a 20-4 run in the last six minutes to win the game in a convincing fashion.
Red Star and Efes are now tied at 4-5 in the competition.
Partizan lose to AEK in FIBA Basketball Champions League
ATHENS - Partizan Belgrade lost 91-81 (22-14, 20-19, 20-29, 27-19) to AEK Athens on the road in their FIBA Basketball Champions League Group E, Round 6 game late Wednesday.
Dusan Sakota led the Greek team with 19 pts, with William Hatcher scoring 18 pts for Partizan.
It was the third defeat in the competition for Partizan, who will host Italy's Sassari next Tuesday.
Greens score more than a win over Darussafaka
Panathinaikos and Olympiakos are back level on five wins from nine games in the Euroleague, as the Greens defeated Turkey's Darussafaka 86-80 at home on Friday after the Reds went down to Maccabi Tel Aviv (80-73) in Piraeus on Thursday.

Serbia to play Turkey, Russia in EuroBasket group stage
ISTANBUL - The Serbia men's national basketball team was on Tuesday drawn to play Turkey, Russia, Latvia, Belgium and Great Britain in Group D of EuroBasket 2017 in Istanbul.
The draw ceremony was held in Istanbul, which will also host the final stage of the competition.

Green hoopsters recover to beat Aris away
Panathinaikos shook off the two defeats within 48 hours in the Euroleague last week to beat host Aris in the Basket league on Monday and remain one point behind leaders Olympiakos and AEK.
Led by birthday-boy Chris Singleton (16 points), Panathinaikos overcame the Champions League challenger with a 71-59 score in what traditionally is one of the trickiest trips for the Athens giants.

Chief of Turkey's beer giant Anadolu Efes resigns
Turkey's largest beer maker Anadolu Efes has announced that Robin Michael Goetzsche, who has been serving as its president and CEO since November 2015, will be leaving his position as of Dec. 31.
A statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Nov. 21 said Goetzsche will be leaving due to personal reasons.
