Serbia elected to chair Danube Commission
BELGRADE - Serbia will chair the Danube Commission for the next three years, Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released on Thursday.
This is yet another confirmation of Serbia's changed international position and its reputation in the international community, the release states.

National Theater part of European Route of Historic Theaters
BELGRADE - National Theater in Belgrade has been included in the Adriatic Route, part of the European Route of Historic Theaters, the Serbian national theater announced on Thursday.

Nitrate Film Festival begins on Friday
BELGRADE - The 16th Nitrate Film Festival will be held in Belgrade June 6-15 and include around 60 old films from around the world, with half of them dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War One, head of the Yugoslav Film Archive Aleksandar Erdeljanovic has announced.

Mihajlovic: Flood damage to roads at EUR 40 million
BELGRADE - The flood damage to the first and second category roads in Serbia has been estimated at EUR 40 million, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said on Thursday, noting that there are still no complete data on the damage inflicted to local roads.

Field hospital set up in Obrenovac
BELGRADE - A field hospital, which is part of the Military Medical Academy, started working in a schoolyard in Obrenovac on Wednesday, the Ministry of Defense has announced.
This temporary healthcare facility will provide treatments for the citizens living in the flood-affected areas and members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Interior Ministry repairing the damage.

Railway blockade in Belgrade ends, traffic normalized
BELGRADE – Belgrade's railway traffic is back to normal after employees of ‘Nega kola’, daughter company to the Serbian Railways, unblocked a number of tracks at Belgrade’s central station and a section of the Zemun - Zemun Polje railway late in the afternoon Tuesday.
The blockade made several international trains unable to leave Belgrade’s central station yesterday.
AECOM interested in building sports facilities in Serbia
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic and senior vice-president of sports infrastructure development company AECOM Riad Nashif signed a protocol of cooperation in the field of public private partnership.
The UAE-based AECOM expressed interest in cooperation with Serbia, Udovicic said Monday.
