She stressed that a compromise would also not be possible if Serbia continued to insist that Kosovo belongs to it, Tanjug cited Germany's broadcaster Deutsche Welle, which quoted Brnabic's statement made for Germany's Welt newspaper.

Brnabic also said that "relations with Pristina for us, Serbs, are difficult and emotional."

The European Foreign Service said that the two presidents should discuss above all reaching a comprehensive agreement on the normalization of relations, while the implementation of the already reached agreements will be the second place of the agenda.

Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Dusan Kozarev said this on Monday, and added:

"Belgrade has fulfilled all the obligations from the First Brussels Agreement, while Pristina and its chief negotiator Avni Arifi use mindless excuses in their persistent efforts to find justification for unilaterally avoiding the continuation of the dialogue," Kozarev said.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said this on Thursday.

"At least two are needed for a compromise, but now there are several factors. People in Pristina said they have no foreign policy of their own, but consider the foreign policy of the United States to that," Brnabic said.

"The United States and Western countries have submitted their principles, but for us it is insufficiently good," an unnamed source "familiar with the details of the proposal" has been quoted as saying.

They hold the same position when it comes to attempts to change the format of the Council's sessions dedicated to Kosovo. In this way, they supported Serbia's stance on the issue.
