Magnitude 6.4 quake strikes Greece

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.4 has been felt in Greece, according to reports.

Reports said the epicenter was 400 kilometers (185 miles) north-northeast of Athens, southwest of Samothrace island, and was 10 kilometers deep.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

Minor Earthquake Registered Near Sofia Friday Night

A 2.4 Richter scale earthquake was registered in the Sofia region on Friday night. 

The epicenter was around 59 km south of Sofia, near the town of Samokov. 

The quake caused no damages and no one was injured.

Earlier on Friday a 2.7 earthquake was registered 15 km from Sofia and on Thursday – a 2.9 Richter scale in the Rila mountains.

Two moderate earthquakes hit region

BELGRADE -- A 4.4 magnitude earthquake jolted Slovenia at 10:48 CET on Tuesday, and was, according to reports, also felt in neighboring Croatia.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was at the depth of 12.4 kilometers, located some 52 kilometers southwest of the capital Ljubljana.

Magnitude 6.2 Earthquake Rocks Chile

An earthquake with a 6.2 magnitude has rocked Chile's northern coastline, but no damage has been reported.

No tsunami warning is to be issued for now, Al Jazeera has reported.

Earlier this week, a 6.7-magnitude earthquake shook Chile’s northern Pacific shore on Sunday, causing the evacuation of more than 100,000 people.
