Tech titan accused of using an ex-striper as a sex slave

A Silicon Valley tech titan has been sued for $40 million by a woman who claims he used her as a sex slave for 13 years.

Michael Goguen, who had worked for a firm that funded Google and Paypal, had been “sexually and physically” abusing Amber Laurel Baptiste over more than 13 years after meeting her at a strip club in Texas, her lawsuit alleges.

Bulgaria's Unemployment Rate Dropped to 10 % in February

Bulgaria's unemployment rate stood at 10 % in February, recording 0.2 % drop compared to the first month of this year and 1 % decrease compared to February 2015.

A total of 329 610 people were registered as unemployed in February, which represented a decrease of 4960 people compared to January 2016 and a drop of 31 566 compared to February 2015, the Employment Agency informs.

Gazprom Worried over Possible Delay in Payment from SE Europe

Russian energy giant Gazprom believes Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia and Serbia might put off payment for gas, oil and other kinds of fuels or not pay at all, Russian newspaper Vedomosti reports.

The daily cites documents prepared by Gazprom on the occasion of forthcoming Eurobonds issuance.  

Bulgarian Customs Seize 16 T of Cut Tobacco at Kulata Crossing

The Bulgarian customs have thwarted an attempt to smuggle 16.2 tonnes of cut tobacco for smoking across the country's border with Greece and save BGN 2.5 M (EUR 1.27 M) in excise duty.

The tobacco had been discovered by customs officers in a Bulgarian-registered truck at Kulata crossing on the border with Greece, the National Customs Agency said in a statement on Monday.
