Voter turnout nationwide in Sunday's presidential runoff election as of 19:00hrs, EET, was 58.66 percent, according to data released by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).
In the urban areas, turnout was 57.50 percent, while turnout in the countryside was 60.23 percent and in Bucharest City 60.25 percent.

Voter turnout nationwide in Sunday's presidential runoff election as of 16:00hrs, EET, was 44.50 percent, according to data released by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).
In the urban areas, turnout was 43.75 percent, while turnout in the countryside was 45.52 percent and in Bucharest City 45.64 percent.

Stanoevici in London says hopes high number of citizens be able to vote by end-day
Minister-delegate for the Romanians Everywhere Bogdan Stanoevici, visiting London on Sunday, said he hoped as high as possible number of citizens voting in Britain would be able to exercise their constitutional right in the presidential runoff by the end of the day.
Voter turnout abroad: 114,607 ballots cast by 1 p.m.
As many as 114,607 Romanian voters living abroad turned out to the ballot by 1 p.m. on Sunday in the second round of voting for President of Romania, according to figures received by the Central Electoral Bureau from 263 polling stations out of a total 294 set up abroad.
