A Posteriori exhibition to herald Guitar Art Festival

BELGRADE - A photo exhibition symbolically titled A Posteriori will open at Belgrade's Dom Omladine on Monday as one of the side events of this year's 15th Guitar Art Festival.

The exhibition will feature the most significant artists and events that have shaped the festival, which was established in 2000 and is now the most significant classical guitar festival in the region.

Norwegian film 'I Am Yours' wins FEST award

BELGRADE - The Norwegian film 'I Am Yours', directed by Iram Haq, won the Best Film award in the 'Europe out of Europe' category at the 42nd FEST film festival.

The award, diploma and the prize of EUR 2,000 was delivered to the young Pakistani director at the official closing of the festival in Belgrade's Sava Centre late on Sunday.

'Rabbitland' awarded at festival in Finland

BELGRADE - "Rabbitland", a short animated movie by Ana Nedeljkovic and Nikola Majdak junior, was awarded a Diploma of Merit at 44th Tampere Film Festival in Finland which was held from March 5 to 9.

Since it premiered at 63rd Berlin Film Festival in 2013 and got the Crystal Bear, "Rabbitland" was screened at numerous festivals across the world.

EU: Crimea is not Kosovo

BRUSSELS - The situation in Crimea cannot be compared to Kosovo, spokesperson of the European Commission Alejandro Munoz said on Friday.

There is no room for comparison between Crimea and Kosovo, he told reporters in comment to Russian President Vladimir Putin's statements about similarities between NATO's intervention in Kosovo and Russia's in Crimea.

Giant rabbit heralds MAD in Belgrade

BELGRADE - A giant sculpture of Ricky Rabbit by famous Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman was set up at the Nikola Pasic Square in Belgrade on Friday.

The rabbit is 14 m tall and will be at the square for three weeks as an announcement that the festival MAD in Belgrade will take place May 24-25 at the park outside the Museum of Modern Art in Belgrade.
