Four lightly injured by lightning on Acropolis Hill

Four people were lightly injured on Wednesday afternoon when lightning struck the Acropolis Hill during a thunderstorm, the Culture Ministry said.
The citadel's lightning rod was hit by a bolt and its impact smashed the windows of the ticket booths at the entrance to the ancient site, injuring two Culture Ministry employees and two tourists.
The two tourists, one man and one woman, were taken to Evangelismos hospital where they were treated for minor cuts and have already been discharged.

The two ministry employees will remain in hospital overnight for precautionary reasons. 

The Culture Ministry said no damages were caused to any of the ancient monuments and shut the archaeological site for the rest of the evening.
