Turkish IT technician found dead while fleeing to Greece
The body of a Turkish IT specialist, who was fleeing Turkish crackdown, was recovered from a river that divides Turkish-Greek territory.

According to some sources two Turkish low rank officers of the Elite Bordo Bereli team, which was dissolved after the failed coup last summer, were arrested in Orestiada near the borders with Turkey in Evros.
Technical glitch causes power cuts in northern Greece
Parts of Rhodope and the whole regional unit of Evros, in northern Greece, suffered a power outage at noon on Saturday due to a technical glitch at the local power station, Public Power Corporation (PPC) said.
Power was gradually restored within an hour.

Police in northern Greece say an Afghan migrant has died of hypothermia after crossing a river that forms the country's border with Turkey.
The body of the man believed to be 20 years old was found in a field early Tuesday near the Greek border town of Didimoteicho after police were alerted by another Afghan man who said he had traveled with him across the Evros River.

At this time of year, the Evros River runs broad and icy, its banks muddy and far apart. It's a formidable sight for migrants reaching Turkey's land border with Greece, but not formidable enough to stop people who have already come so far in their bid to make it to a new life in Europe.
Seven drug arrests made in two separate cases
Police at Athens International Airport confiscated 3 kilograms of cocaine from the luggage of a 33-year-old man who arrived in Greece on Thursday on a flight from Sao Paolo via Zurich.
The drugs had been concealed in four packages in the outer casing of his suitcase, police sources said.
