Crete: Vote of confidence from Danish tourists
Crete remains consistently a favorite destination for Danes, who repeatedly choose it for their holidays, with a particular preference for gastronomy, nature, culture and outdoor activities. This is the message and conclusion from the participation of the Region of Crete in the international tourism exhibition Quality Travel Fair, which took place in Copenhagen on October 22 and 23.

EU agrees ‘roadmap’ to contain energy prices
EU leaders on Oct. 21 reached agreement on a "roadmap" aimed at putting in place measures within weeks to shield European consumers from soaring energy prices.
The accord came after 11 hours of wrangling over broad proposals to lower energy bills as gas prices pushed skywards by the war in Ukraine.

Akar invites Greek defense minister to Türkiye
Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar has admitted that he invited his Greek counterpart, Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, and his wife to Türkiye to create a positive atmosphere amid the increasing tension between the two countries.
"I invited Panagiotopoulos to Türkiye with his wife when we were in Brussels," Akar said during an exclusive interview on Oct. 20.
