Premier Viorica Dancila is paying a working visit on Thursday in Brussels to address several current topics on the European agenda with European high officials, the Government says in a release.
Thanks to the Friendship Agreement with Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia was given the chance to be invited to negotiate with the European Union for accession. This was stated by EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn in an interview with MIA.
North Macedonia should start membership negotiations to join the European Union, the European Commission formally recommended on Wednesday.
The recommendation followed a meeting of the Commission in Brussels, said Johannes Hahn, the EU commissioner in change of enlargement on Twitter. EU governments must agree to allow talks to start.
