In call with Turkey’s Erdogan, Biden expresses support for Sweden’s NATO bid
US President Joe Biden expressed a desire to see Sweden join NATO "as soon as possible" in a phone call with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in which they discussed Sweden's bid to become a member of the Western alliance, the White House said on Sunday.
Turkey, along with Hungary, has been a stumbling block to Sweden's bid, which requires unanimous approval by all NATO members.

9 PKK terrorists ‘neutralized’ in northern Iraq
Security forces have "neutralized" nine PKK terrorists in northern Iraq, the territory of a cross-border operation, the Defense Ministry announced on July 2.
Nine terrorists identified in the Claw-Lock Operation area were "neutralized" as a result of an air strike, the ministry said in a written statement on July 2.

MİT ‘neutralizes’ Interpol-wanted PKK terrorist
The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has eliminated a senior member of the PKK terrorist organization wanted by Interpol in northern Syria's Qamishli region.
Abdurrahman Çadırcı was code-named both "Esad Faraşin" and "Esad Avrupa" because of his operations in Europe before. The terrorist was identified as the so-called executive council member of the terrorist group.
