3 defendants released in İstiklal bomb attack case

Three defendants have been released in the case of the 2022 terrorist bombing that claimed the lives of six people on İstiklal Avenue, one of the tourist hotspots in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district.

The trial continued in relation to the terrorist bomb attack on İstiklal Avenue on Nov. 13, 2022, in which six people were killed and 99 were wounded.

14 PKK/YPG terrorists ‘neutralized’ in northern Syria

The Turkish security forces "neutralized" 14 PKK/YPG terrorists in the Operation Euphrates Shield area in Syria's north, the Defense Ministry has announced.

The ministry statement on Jan. 22 noted that the operation targeted the members of the terror organizations who opened harassing fire on Turkish security forces. 

17 PKK terrorists ‘neutralized’ in northern Iraq, Syria

The Turkish security forces "neutralized" 17 PKK terrorists in the Operation Claw-Lock area in northern Iraq and several other operation areas in Syria's north, the Defense Ministry has announced.

In a written statement on X on Jan. 21, the ministry noted that the Turkish forces conducted an airstrike targeting the 10 terrorists in the operation area.

The parliamentary session, scheduled to commence at 3 p.m., will be presided over by Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş.
