Slovenia to Reimburse COVID Fines: Government Lifts Unconstitutional Penalties

US: Trump Pardons Some of His Close Associates in His Last Days as President

US President Donald Trump has pardoned his former campaign manager Paul Manafort, ex-adviser Roger Stone and the father of Mr Trump's son-in-law.

Mr Manafort was convicted in 2018 in an investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 US election.

Mr Trump had previously commuted the prison sentence of Mr Stone, who was convicted of lying to Congress.

Chamber of Deputies rejects draft law on pardons

The Chamber of Deputies has rejected, on Wednesday, with 177 votes for rejection, one against and two abstentions, the draft law regarding the pardoning some sentences and some educational measures deprived of freedom of movement. The Minister of Justice, Ana Birchall, announced, before the vote, that the Government supports the rejection of this project.
