Turkish anti-addiction body adds prostitution, technology to enemies list

The Turkish Green Crescent Society (Ye?ilay), an organization that endeavors to protect society and its youth from "harmful habits," has added "prostitution, technology and gambling" to its list of habits, as it prepares to receive more government funding into its budget.

HDP determined to go to polls as party to challenge Turkish election threshold

Selahattin Demirta?, the co-leader of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), has said the debate about entering the upcoming general elections with independent deputies is "over," stressing his confidence that the party will surpass the 10 percent election threshold.

Search launched for missing opposition politician in eastern Turkey

The provincial head of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has been missing in the Eastern Anatolian province of Tunceli for more than 24 hours.

Following the disappearance of Hüseyin Zeytin, the CHP's provincial head for Tunceli, a group of 10 CHP members, including the party's provincial deputy head, launched a search party.

Turkish main opposition insists on reducing election threshold to 3 percent

A day after Turkey's Constitutional Court dismissed individual complaints filed to lower the 10 percent parliamentary threshold, the main opposition party submitted a fresh bill to Parliament to reduce the election threshold to 3 percent "for fairer representation."
