President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has stayed off-air from Turkish broadcasters for longer than 72 hours - an unprecedented length of time considering his relentless TV speeches in the months before the general election. 

All four parties represented in Turkish parliament, except the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), have increased the number of their women deputies, thus labeling the 25th term of parliament as one with the highest number of women deputies in Turkey's history of democracy.

All prominent economy figures from each of Turkey's four largest political parties have managed to enter parliament in the June 7 election. 

Calling an early election is distant possibility, but ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) will attempt to form coalition, Deputy Prime Minister Numar Kurtulmu? said on June 8.

Kurtulmu? said that no government could be formed without the inclusion of the AKP. 

Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) party won the 25thgeneral elections, which were held in Turkey on Sunday, but lost its parliamentary majority.

The election results have dealt a serious blow to the party, which has been in power since 2002.

Preliminary results from Turkey's parliamentary election suggest that the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has won over 25 percent of the vote, largely retaining the 26 percent support it received in general elections four years ago, according to unofficial results from Anadolu Agency. 

Turkey is in anticipation of the results from the country's 25thgeneral elections, which were held on Sunday.

The polling stations closed at 5 p.m. local time, and electoral committees across the country's 85 voting districts have started the counting of the votes.

Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu cast his vote at the Çankaya Arjantin Primary School on June 7 for the general elections. 

K?l?çdaro?lu arrived at the school premises with his wife, Selvi K?l?çdaro?lu. 

Polling stations across Turkey opened at 8 o'clock local time in the country's general elections.

The elections are deemed crucial for the plans of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to change the constitution and turn Turkey into a presidential republic.

Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has warned its provincial and district branches over possible election fraud, particularly in regard to those who might attempt to cast votes on behalf of dead people.
