Robots replace Japanese students at graduation amid coronavirus
Spring graduation ceremonies in Japan have been canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic, but students at one school were able to attend remotely by controlling avatar robots while logged on at home.
The robots, dubbed "Newme" by developer ANA Holdings, were dressed in graduation caps and gowns for the ceremony at the Business Breakthrough University in Tokyo.

The Greek delegation comprised of 10 teams at 2019 World Robot Olympiad (WRO), held in Gyor, Hungary (November 8-10) returned to Greece last week with four medals - three silver, one bronze - and three distinctions (fourth, seventh and ninth).

Greek teams reach fourth place in Robot Olympiad
Two Greek teams reached fourth place in the 2018 World Robot Olympiad, which took place in Thailand from November 16 to 18. The 'Rest in PC's' team (l) came fourth in the Open Senior category with its hydroponic cultivation unit, while the 'Autonomous Robotic Aquaponics' team also came fourth in the Open Junior category.

WEF: Machines will do more Tasks than Humans by 2025
AFP - Robots will handle 52 percent of current work tasks by 2025, almost twice as many as now, a World Economic Forum (WEF) study said Monday.
The sharp increase could also see a net gain in "new roles" for humans, who will have to revamp skills to keep pace with the "seismic shift" in how we work with machines and computer programmes, the forum estimated.

Artificial intelligence, robotics and new technology are bringing sweeping change to the world and according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), one in two jobs is likely to be significantly affected by automation in the next decade.
