4.0 earthquake hits Karpenisi
A light earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale was recorded at 11:40 on Wednesday at Karpenisi.
According to the Geodynamics Institute of Athens’ Observatory, the earthquake’s epicenter was located 5 km western of Karpenisi and the focal depth at nine km.
No damages were reported.

Stephen Hawking and a billionaire to announce ‘space exploration’ project
Professor Stephen Hawkin and Russian billionaire Yuri Milner will conduct a search for extraterrestrial life.
Milner has agreed to fund a decade-long search for aliens costing him about $100 million, while it is expected to announce the beginning of their project, titled Starshot, on Tuesday at an event to be held at the One World Observatory in New York City.
