November unemployment drops to 16.5 pct
Greece's jobless rate eased slightly to 16.5 percent in November from 16.6 percent in the previous month, data from the country's statistics service ELSTAT showed on Thursday.
It was the lowest jobless rate since April 2011.
Seasonally adjusted data showed the number of unemployed at 772,614 people, with those aged up to 24 bearing the brunt of being out of work.

Unemployment rate decreases to 3.9pct in December 2019
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 3.9pct in December last year, from 4pct in November, and the number of the unemployed decreased to 354,000 people, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) published on Thursday. In November 2019, the number of unemployed people aged 15-74 was 366,000, and in December 2018 - 359,000.

Unemployment rate at 13.4 pct in October 2019
Turkey's unemployment stood at 13.4 percent in October 2019, said the country's statistical authority on Jan. 10.
The October figure showed an annual rise of 1.8 percentage points, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) said.

It was the lowest jobless rate since April 2011.
Seasonally adjusted data showed the number of unemployed at 780,913 people, with those aged up to 24 bearing the brunt of being out of work.
Greek jobless rate drops to 16.4 percent in third quarter
Greece's jobless rate fell to 16.4 percent in July-to-September from 16.9 percent in the second quarter, data by the country's statistics service ELSTAT showed on Friday.
About 73.6 percent of Greece's 777,000 jobless are long-term unemployed, meaning they have been out of work for at least 12 months, the figures showed.

In the third quarter of 2019 there were 125.4 thousand unemployed persons, of whom 70.9 thousand (56.5%) men and 54.5 thousand (43.5%) women. The unemployment rate was 3.7% and went down by 1.3 percentage points from the third quarter of 2018. The unemployment rate was 3.8% for men and 3.4% for women.

The activity rate for population aged 15 - 64 was 74.2%, by 1.7 percentage points higher compared to the third quarter of 2018.
The employment rate for population aged 15 - 64 increased by 2.6 percentage points from the same quarter of 2018 and achieved 71.4%.
The unemployment rate was 3.7%, by 1.3 percentage points lower compared to the third quarter of 2018.
EU unemployment rate at lowest since January 2000
Unemployment rate in the European Union stood at 6.3 percent in September, marking the lowest rate since 2000, the block's statistical office said on Oct. 31.

Unemployment rate in September is 3 pct
The unemployment rate recorded at the national level at the end of September 2019 was 3 pct, a decrease by 0.04 percentage points over the previous month and 0.4 percentage points lower than in September 2018, the National Agency for Employment (ANOFM) reports.
