New container city to be built for Syrian refugees in Turkey's Adana
A new container city will be installed in the southern province of Adana for refugees who have fled from war-torn Syria, where civil has been continuing since 2011, Adana Governor Mahmut Demirtaş announced on Feb. 8, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
The container city, which will be located in Adana's Sarıçam district, will host at least 25,000 refugees in 5,000 containers.
İdil Biret concert canceled in Adana

Cyclist detained after attempting to set police car on fire
A cyclist has been detained after attempting to set a police car on fire in the southern province of Adana, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
The incident occurred in Adana's Seyhan district after traffic police seized 62-year-old Mustafa Koldaş's electric bicycle for not having his driver's license on him and driving without a number plate on the vehicle.
One suspect sought after Adana attack shot inside bomb-laden car
One person who was being sought after the Nov. 24 Adana attack targeting the governor's office has been shot inside a bomb-laden car, Doğan News Agency has reported.
The suspect was apprehended in an injured state, the agency said.
Explosion Rocks Turkish City of Adana
An explosion has rocked the Turkish city of Adana. There are dead and injured people.
According to Reuters the blast occurred at a parking lot in front of the governor's office. Emergency aid units have been sent to the site.
At present, there is information that two people have died and 16 have been injured.
