Had tourists' average per capita expenditure in Greece in July and August been on a par with that at rival destinations, the country's tourism revenues would not have posted a decline, according to a survey presented on Thursday by the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE).

Interesting results came out of an interactive survey involving 1,000 participants from all over Turkey, at the 6th International Resort Tourism Congress in the Mediterranean city of Antalya's Lara Barut Hotel. This was the sector's most important meeting in 2016, amid the worst crisis in the modern history of Turkey's tourism.

With the slogan “Santorini — the all-year island,” Santorini is attempting to extend its hospitality season and attract tourism throughout the year, with over 100 hotel units keeping their doors open this winter.

The 10th International Conference on Gastronomical Tourism is scheduled to take place on November 26-27 at the Athens Technical School (TEI) convention hall. Speaking at the first open conference of the Confederation of Greek Businessmen’s Tourist Accommodations, held on the sidelines of the Expo Hotel at the Tae Kwon Do stadium, President of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) Andreas Andreadis pointed out that the 2016 season had ended with a rise of 1.5 million tourist arrivals, the total of which amounted to 25 million.

BELGRADE - The Tourism Organization of Belgrade, supported by the Tourism Organization of Serbia, will take part in an international tourism fair in Shanghai, China - International Travel Mart - on November 11-13.

BELGRADE - Twelve percent more tourists visited Belgrade in September compared to the same month last year, a Tourist Organization of Belgrade statement said, noting Serbia's capital had 95,636 visitors that month.
