INS: Unemployment rate, down to 6.8% in 2014
Romania's unemployment rate stood at 6.8% in 2014, down compared to the previous year, and the employment rate of the working-age population (aged 15 to 64) reached 61%, show the data released on Friday by the National Statistics Institute /INS/.

Bulgaria's Unemployment Rate Remained Stable in March
According to the latest figures of the Bulgarian Employment Agency, which were released on Thursday, the unemployment rate in March stood at 11 %, retaining its level from February.
However compared to the same month a year ago, the unemployment rate registered a decrease with 1.2 %, the website of the National Employment Agency informs.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 6.5 percent in January 2015, down by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month, and by 0.5 percentage points from the level recorded in January 2014, according to the data released by the National Statistics Institute (INS).

Gov't eyes to increase qualified employment
The Turkish government plans to boost employment specifically for women by making the working conditions better and reducing the informal economy with the new reform package.
Labor reforms targeted at reducing the informal economy and boosting employment, especially of women, were announced by Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu yesterday.

Taking measures becomes tougher as unemployment rises in Turkey
The unemployment rate in Turkey is continuing to rise. The figure was 10.5 percent in September, the highest level since the global financial crisis. Worse, the unemployment rate is expected to increase in the near future, while it is also getting more difficult to take necessary measures against this rise.
September unemployment hits 10.5 pct, highest since February 2011
Turkey's unemployment rate has increased to 10.5 percent in the three month period between August and October, compared with the 10.1 percent between July and September, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) said Dec. 15.
This is the highest figure since February 2011.
The non-agricultural unemployment rate was 12.7 percent in the September period.
Numbers Of Unemployed Over 1 Year Rise
The number of people who cannot find a job for over a year, has increased, shows data of the National Statistics Institute (NSI).
At the same time, Bulgaria's unemployment rate in Q3 2014 dropped by 10.8% year-on-year, to 368 800 people. More than 60% of them, however, have been unemployed for more than 12 months. Their numbers decreased by 2.3% year-on-year.
