Biden sends letter to UN General Assembly President Bozkır

U.S. President-elect Joe Biden has sent a letter to Volkan Bozkır, the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Bozkır announced on his Twitter account on Jan. 4.

"We look forward to working with you and the U.N. General Assembly on addressing the range of issues and opportunities," Biden said in the letter.

Turkey sends aid to Palestine to fight coronavirus

Turkey's state-run aid agency on April 24 sent medical aid to Palestine amid the fight against novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) delivered medical and personal care packages to Palestinian health officials at a ceremony held at the Health Ministry building in Ramallah.

Poland calls EU migrant relocation plan faulty

Poland's government argues that it refused to follow the European Union's migrant relocation plan because the scheme was faulty and raised security concerns.

Government spokesman Piotr Muller was reacting Thursday to an opinion by a top EU legal adviser who said that Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary have been breaking EU law by refusing to accept migrants under a 2015 plan.

Six Countries Sign Common Document on Mobility Package

It has been circulated to all relevant institutions, Prime Minister Borissov said.

Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland have signed a joint document calling for a review of the Mobility Package. This was announced by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in Brussels, where the summit is being held.
