Bulgaria Sends at Least 19 Athletes in the Olympic Games PyongChang `18
At least 19 athletes will be included in the Bulgarian delegation at the XXIII Winter Olympics in PyongChang '18 (9-25 February). The composition was endorsed by the General Assembly of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, and it could additionally include athletes who eventually manage to meet the norm by the end of the month.
Jamaican women qualify in bobsled
A Jamaican women’s bobsled team have qualified for next month’s Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, 30 years after a men’s team from the Caribbean nation first made its fairytale appearance at the 1988 Calgary Games, it was reported here Jan. 15.

Ski Season Starts in Bosnia Despite Mild Weather
Jahorina, Bjelasnica and Igman, Bosnia's three "Olympic" mountains, have officially welcomed visitors for some time now, although the relatively mild weather is not promising for ski enthusiasts.
The official ski season started on Jahorina, near Sarajevo, on December 3 and on Bjelasnica, another well-known skiing mountain, on December 16.

Bulgaria is Second in the EU to Export Ski
Bulgaria ranks second in the European Union (EU) to export cross-country and Alpine ski to the EU member countries. This shows the data from Eurostat statistics, reported Monitor.
Our country has exported nearly 133,000 pairs of cross-country ski to the EU. Austria, however, is a leader with almost double result. Britain is in third place with 97,000 pairs.
