Romania's COVID-19 death toll rises by six to 417

Six more people have died from the novel coronavirus in Romania, bringing the total death toll to 417, the Strategic Communication Group, the official coronavirus communication task force, announced on Saturday morning. Number of coronavirus cases rises to 2,224, deaths up to 108

The Greek Health Ministry on Friday announced 17 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 2,224.

Another three patients died in the hospital, pushing the death toll up to 108.

A total of 71 patients are intubuted, the ministry said, adding that their average age is 67. 

The average age of the dead is 74.

Romania's COVID-19 caseload rises by 360 to 8,067

As many as 360 new cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been recorded in Romania since the last reporting to date, bringing the total caseload to 8,067, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official coronavirus communication task force reported on Friday at noon. Of the infected people, 1,508 have been declared cured and discharged.

Paramedic helps COVID-19 patients recover with plasma

An emergency medical services worker in eastern Turkey who beat the novel coronavirus has helped other COVID-19 patients recover by donating her plasma.

Melek Yıldırım, a paramedic living in Diyarbakır, was infected with the virus during a trip to France and overcame it after 13 days of treatment.

Turkey traces contacts to find cases in fight against coronavirus

Turkey's 4,600 teams tasked with detecting and screening the chain of contacts of people infected with the coronavirus have been important in reducing the number of COVID-19 cases, listing the last people contacted with a diagnosed person, finding out if they have symptoms and reducing the likelihood that the virus will infect others.

GCS: 491 new cases of novel coronavirus infection; total reaches 7,707

A number of 491 new cases of persons infected with the novel coronavirus have been registered in Romania since the latest information, the total number of persons who tested positive for COVID-19 thus reaching 7,707, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informed on Thursday. A number of 1,357 persons have been declared recovered and were discharged.
