GCS: 337 new cases of novel coronavirus infection; total reaches 7,216
A number of 337 new cases of persons infected with the novel coronavirus have been registered in Romania since the latest information, the total number of persons who tested positive for COVID-19 thus reaching 7,216, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informed on Wednesday. A number of 1,217 persons have been declared recovered and were discharged.
Romania's COVID-19 death toll rises by 5 to 362
Another five people infected with the novel coronavirus have died, bringing the total death toll so far to 362, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official coronavirus communication task force, reported on Wednesday. It is about four men and one woman aged between 55 and 74.

Death toll from coronavirus rises to 102, report says
The death toll from the coronavirus rose to 102 on Wednesday after a female patient passed away, Skai reported.
The patient was a 86-year-old woman being treated in Alexandroupoli, according to the report.
'Long way ahead' as 33 more test positive for Covid-19 in Cyprus
Coronavirus infections rose to 695 in Cyprus on Tuesday where 33 more people tested positive for the virus, according to Health Ministry officials.
According to the ministry's daily briefing, three of the new cases were identified from a total of 655 coronavirus tests conducted in the framework of the targeted tests on employees of businesses continuing to operate amid the outbreak.
There is New Ebola Case in DRC
A new case of Ebola virus disease was confirmed in the city of Beni in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
"While not welcome news, this is an event we anticipated. We kept response teams in Beni and other high risk areas for precisely this reason," said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General.

GCS: Another five coronavirus-related deaths, Romania's total at 351
Another five people infected with the novel coronavirus have died in Romania, taking the number of deaths from COVID-19 to 351, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informed on Tuesday. Turkish Airlines extends int’l flight suspension
Turkey's national flag carrier Turkish Airlines on April 14 announced extending the suspension of international flights amid coronavirus outbreak.
The company will not fly on international routes until May 2020 "in accordance with the decisions taken by the authorities of Turkey and to protect the public health from novel coronavirus pandemic."

GCS: 246 new cases of persons infected with novel coronavirus; total number 6,879
A number of 246 new cases of persons infected with the novel coronavirus have been recorded in Romania according to the latest report, with the total number of persons who got infected reaching thus 6,897, informed the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) on Tuesday. Among the persons who got infected, 1,051 recovered and were discharged from hospital.
Some 13,000 from abroad in quarantine amid virus
Nearly 13,000 citizens who came from abroad are currently in quarantine in Turkey as part of measures to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus, the country's youth and sports minister said on April 14.
A total of 12,912 citizens are under quarantine at dormitories across 57 provinces, said Mehmet Kasapoğlu.
