An immersive audiovisual production with philosophical implications was shown Monday on the occasion of the inauguration of the upgraded image and sound systems of the New Digital Planetarium of the Eugenides Foundation in Athens, which now has a fourth-generation projection system with a total resolution of 7.5K, multiplying the brightness and quality of the image.

"Everyone wants to understand art. Why not try to understand the song of a bird? Why does one love the night, flowers, everything around one, without trying to understand them? But in the case of a painting, people have to understand," Pablo Picasso once said.

Specializing in folk, ballet and contemporary dance, 18 dancers will be performing "The Thread," a production directed and choreographed by Russell Maliphant, at the 4th century BC Ancient Theater of Epidaurus on August 24.

Stage directors, actors and musicians who have homes in the East Attica towns that were hit by last summer's deadly wildfires will be holding a show commemorating the July 23, 2018, event, which cost the lives of more than 100 people.

"Alekos Fassianos, Vangelis Chronis - 30 Years of Friendship, Paintings and Poetry," on show at the Theocharakis Foundation, presents the artist and the poet's constructive collaboration and shared love for ancient Greek art, demonstrating how they have drawn inspiration from each other's work for the past three decades.
