Papaconstantinou to appear in special court next month over Lagarde list
Ex-Finance Minister Giorgos Papaconstantinou will have to give testimony by June 11 in a special court, where he will be tried for allegedly doctoring the so-called Lagarde list of depositors.
It has emerged that five members of the Financial Crimes Squad have already given evidence to special magistrate Iosif Tsalaganidis, who will preside.
The ex-minister is accused of removing the names of four of his relatives from the list, which contained the names of more than 2,000 Greeks with deposits at the Geneva branch of HSBC.
Parliament voted last year to lift Papaconstantinous immunity so he could be indicted on charges of breach of faith, violation of duty and doctoring a document.
