PM Ponta to hold talks with Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu

Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Monday evening began an official visit to Israel.

The head of the Executive is heading a delegation including Deputy Prime Minister Lviu Dragnea, also Minister of Regional Development and Public Administration, Minister of Finance, Ioana Petrescu, Minister of Education, Remus Pricopie, Minister Delegate for Higher Education, Mihnea Costoiu, Minister of Health, Nicolae Banicioiu, Minister of Youth and Sports, Gabriel Szabo, Minister of Environment, Atilla Korodi, Minister for Information Society, Razvan Cotovelea, Labour Minister, Rovana Plumb, Minister of Defence, Mircea Dusa, Minister Delegate for the SMEs, Florin Jianu, and Economy Minister, Constantin Nita.

Thus, on Tuesday morning the Romanian ministers will hold talks with their Israeli counterparts and they will sign several agreements and memorandums between the two countries, following the two heads of governments to meet and to have a joint press conference.

A working lunch is also scheduled to take place around noon, after which PM Victor Ponta has a visit planed to the 'Yad Vashem', Israel's Holocaust museum and memorial, where he is going to lay a wreath and sign in the Book of Honour. AGERPRES
