Ponta: I shall present in Parliament governance priorities for first semester

Prime Minister Victor Ponta, Social Democratic Party (PSD) Chairman, in Sinaia, on Friday, said that he would go in Parliament to present the governance priorities for the first semester, as they were being discussed in the meeting of the PSD National Executive Committee.

'I reiterated the desire of going in Parliament in the beginning of the parliamentary session with a presentation of the priorities for the first semester, focused on what is essentially connected to people's lives: the continuation of the economic growth, the reduction of unemployment, the continuation of increasing investments in the development of the local communities, so that the economic growth be felt in the day-by-day life of the citizens and mainly of the disfavoured categories. The poverty combat and a more balanced distribution of the economic growth is the fundamental objective of the Government I run, which can be done by continuing the measures to stimulate the economic growth, the job creation in the private area, measures that last year included the reduction in the social insurance contribution, the tax exemption for the reinvested profit, and which for 2015 have as punctual objective the reduction of the value added tax, the continuation of the investments in health, education, energy and social reinsertion programmes, things that we can only achieve through the collaboration of the Government with the Parliament,' Prime Minister Ponta explained.
