European Parliament lifts immunity of two Greek MEPs
A plenary session of the European Parliament in Brussels voted on Thursday to lift the immunity of Greek MEP Alexis Georgoulis who has been accused of rape and sexual abuse.

Following the results of the May 21 polls, where New Democracy party secured a resounding victory, the election period leading up to the second ballot is focusing on the individual parameters of the party programs.
Party staffs, meanwhile, are on the lookout for misstatements, verbal exaggerations or signs of ignorance from their political opponents.

Committee votes to waiver immunity of MEP Alexis Georgoulis
The European Parliament's legal affairs committee unanimously approved on Tuesday a recommendation to waiver of the immunity of MEP Alexis Georgoulis, who has been accused of rape and sexual abuse.
Konstantopoulou aims to double her party’s vote
Zoi Konstantopoulou, leader of the "Freedom Sailing" party says her goal is to double her party's score in the June 25 election and enter Parliament.
Freedom Sailing won 2.89% of the votes on May 21, enough for 7th place overall, but below the 3% threshold required for parliamentary representation. It had got 1.47% in July 2019.

MİT ‘neutralizes’ senior PKK member in Iraq’s north
The National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has neutralized the PKK/KCK's communication chief during an operation in northern Iraq.
Emre Şahin, code-named Rodi, was found to write the programs used by the organization's communication system, including him in the list of "critical targets to be neutralized."
