DNA conducts searches on Tuesday morning in 14 locations in Bucharest and Ploiesti

National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) prosecutors on Tuesday morning are conducting 14 company and home searches in Bucharest and Ploiesti municipalities.

"The DNA prosecutors in Ploiesti are conducting several searches in a case having to do with suspicions of crimes assimilated to corruption or defrauding of European Union funds. Thus, on February 17, 2015, after getting the authorization from the relevant court, the prosecutors are conducting searches in 14 locations, most of them situated in Bucharest and Ploiesti municipalities, the locations being company headquarters or homes of persons" said the DNA in a press release.

The prosecutors also benefit from specialty support from the Romanian Intelligence Service [SRI] and the Gendarmerie's Special Brigade of Intervention in conducting the searches. AGERPRES
